The Log Speaks! The Investigation makes headway both mundane and uncanny, finding out that Jacques Renault was managing advertisements for both Laura and Ronnette in Flesh World. In terms of the spirit world, however, the log is now ready to speak, and reveals potent clues about the night of Laura's murder. The boys then find TWO cabins, the second containing the scene of at least some of the crimes done to Laura.

Meanwhile, the Icelanders are coming, Leland tries and fails to be normal, Audrey gets deeper into both her investigation AND Dale's bedsheets, James and Donna team up with Maddy even though James is sad that is mom is a slut, Bobby has a no good very bad therapy session, Josie is on some double triple scheme shit, and, say it with me folks, LEO JOHNSON GETS WHAT HE HAD COMING!!!!!!!

After last week’s crazy cliffhanger, Cooper announces almost directly to the camera that his dream contains clues that will solve everything, but also that he forgot the most important part. As a sign that he has become a bona fide citizen of Twin Peaks, the Bookhouse Boys invite him into their secret club dedicated to fighting the evil in the woods. To that end, they’ve kidnapped a French Canadian. Laura Palmer’s funeral inspires the men of Twin Peaks to punch each other. Meanwhile, Audrey uses a secret passageway to spy on her family, Josie fears for her life, Norma’s husband might be out of jail soon, and Leland is really breaking down, unconsoled by the appearance of a mysterious niece… but doesn’t she look almost exactly like Laura Palmer?

The bucolic logging town of Twin Peaks is rocked by tragedy when the town sweetheart, Laura Palmer, is found dead, wrapped in plastic. As those who knew her (which seems to be everyone) reel from this crime, another victim is found alive, but in shock. Over the course of a busy 90-minute pilot, we spend... maybe surprisingly little time with FBI agent Dale Cooper as he begins to unravel the mystery, and a lot of time meeting the enormous cast of characters that comprise Twin Peaks.
