Hey there my Stupid Hearted angels.

Wow wow wow. What a lovely episode to be able to post. Last week, my friend Delphine and I put on the first official (ticketed) Sanctuary Sessions music event at The Sherriff Centre in West Hampstead, London and boy was it special. Todays ep starts with a bit of set-up, then you will all come with me in Linda the Van, on the way to the gig. Then I've included some highlights from the gig in the pod, and then a nice chat with Michael Brindley and his pianist Matt on the way home (everyone wanted a lift in Linda). It is very much me trying to capture the feeling of having you with me and Linda as we explore the world of getting shit done and meeting lovely people. Hope you enjoy.

Hello you lovely sods

This is a cracking, chatty episode with tv comedy actress and personal buddy Kerry Howard. You may know her from Him and Her, Witless, Young Hyacinth and many more shows on the lol-circuit. Kerry is currently earning her drama stripes in Waterloo Road, and is still very much a reliable, funny-boned comedy hire gun.

Over on Insta, her daily efforts to stay mentally and physically in peak condition are a huge part of her mission at the moment and here she does a pretty good job of inspiring me into 'moving more' even though I am sat in bed with a cold looking like a melted, Jabba the Hut candle as I type this.

I bloody love Kerry, I always have a great chat with her and she made me an excellent brew with the correctly meagre amount of milk in it.

Hey there my Stupid Hearted angels.

A few weeks ago Matt Morgan and I recorded a 'double-bubble' podcast for his show is exclusively on Patreon. The first two hours of our chat (we do like to go on) are on his feed and the third hour, which was very giggly I put on my Patreon. It was a pretty funny chat though so I have decided to share it out here in the wild where the podcasts roam FREE.

Hey there my Stupid Hearted angels.

I parked Linda the Camper Van next to a big BIN on the seafront everyone, but she is still the apple of my eye as our love affair begins to pick up pace. This week I am heading West to Wales to do a wee acting role in an indie film and I am taking Linda with me. She will be playing the role of business hotel on wheels. There will also be stops in Swindon and Bath before I head back up to London on Tuesday for another lil acting job.

Anyway in this episode I've ended up chirping on about bigger potential road-trips into Europe including my old family home from home, Marbella in Southern Spain. You can hear all about how cool my mum was in the 60's and how my real dad (a mystery 70's Zorro figure who I never saw) did George Bests's hair, which is what brought Marbella into my mums life.....

Well, triple hello my beautiful babies. What a cracking episode I have for you this week.

Last week Linda the VW camper and I made our first trip away and met the Belter from Belper herself, Selina Mosinski, better known as Charity Shop Sue! Literally one of my favourite comedy characters of modern times.

And what a great, smart, chatty and straight talkin' delight she turned out to be. Listen to us waxing on about comedy, creativity and authenticity over a couple of pints of Shipyard, before i went and got drunk with friend and Patron, 'Reece the piece' who lives nearby. He even let Linda and I kip in his work carpark.

A sensational start to the man and van era of Stupid Hearts Club.

Heya kids! (Heya Nico!)

Today in the conversational gunge tank sees a second pod-visit from my friend, comedy writer and studio format wizard Ali Crockatt. Ali literally DEMANDED for this episode to happen at 4.30 at my gaff last Friday, like a gangster dropping in to give a lowlife grass one more chance before he cuts him a new face the dirty little ponce.

Here we chat about our middling careers in TV comedy, the cerebral magic of 70's culture and then have a half hearted but funny attempt to get deep about the depiction of war in fiction before realising we don't know what we're fucking on about. Something there's not enough of at the moment in my meaningless little opinion. We got drunk after this. Bye.

This week I offer to you an impassioned, deep and often troubling conversation with a stalwart of the London alternative comedy scene. Promoter, compere and agitator in chief Harry Deansway.

Harry has run some of the maddest, grass roots comedy night in London over the last decade and a half maybe and his principles are something that everyone is our community has come across at some point or other, for better or worse. I am never bored when talking to Harry even when I fervently disagree with what he is saying, and I think that overall comedy needs more and not less characters like him around to help nurture the mad shit that can become the most original acts out there.

A small warning. There are one or sentiments in here that might not be to everyones tastes, please don't come at me telling me what they are and why they are wrong. I already know lol.
