    Jesus came to earth in the poorest of conditions, being born in a stable, so that no one could claim that they are worse off than He was. Even the people that God chose to share the news of the Messiah with first were the smelly, poor shepherds. The Savior was born, and even the creation of the stars told of this event, leading the wisemen to the stable in Bethlehem. From all of these poor circumstances came the baby boy that would be the Lamb who was slain to save the whole world.     Although the world will tell us there are multiple religions and names we can believe in to be saved, the Bible teaches the truth that it is only through Jesus’ name that we can have salvation. We can come to Him, filthy in all of our sin, and His blood washes us completely clean. As we grow in relationship with Him, He then begins to turn us from our sin and into a life of obedience.
