    Jul 15 2025
There are over 1000 cold case files in police stations across the UK, but when Avon and Somerset police reviewed the oldest cold case in the country last year, little did they know they'd soon know the identity of the killer... and he was still alive. In this episode, I am joined by ITV news journalist and presenter Robert Murphy, who followed the investigation and ended up in court, staring into the eyes of killer. This is Real. • The Legacy of Baby Cameron
    Jul 1 2025
TW: This episode is about the murder of a baby. The descriptions are not explicit and the story is told gently and respectfully alongside his mother, but please note that this episode could be triggering. In September 2008, new mother Sheree Black dropped her 14-week old baby off to be with his father, but 2 days later, baby Cameron died. But Sheree, who was just 17-years-old at the time, was told that Cameron had sustained non-accidental injuries and the police discovered that he'd died at the hands of the man who was supposed to protect him. That was the start of her agonising fight for justice. Today, Sheree wants to tell her story and share the incredible community she has created in her son's name. This is Real. To sign Sheree's petition, you can do so here: https://www.change.org/p/deny-parole-for-ryan-leslie-convicted-of-murdering-his-baby-son-cameron To reach out to Sheree you can do so here: https://www.instagram.com/sheree_black/ If you need support with child loss in an capacity, please see these organisations that can help: https://www.teddyswish.org/baby-loss-charities - UK https://www.northerntrust.hscni.net/services/bereavement-services/supporting-bereaved-parents/ - NI https://firstlight.ie/ - Ireland https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/support-services-when-child-dies?context=60101 - Australia https://www.skylight.org.nz/search/results?topic_ids%5B%5D=43 - New Zealand https://thetearsfoundation.org/center/ - America Learn more about your ad choices. I don't normally leave reviews, but this podcast has ignited a string sense of belief that this young man is innocent and Jodi's killer has literally gotten away with murder.

I'm convinced

have been listening to this podcast for a while and can honestly say its one of the best, the detail and attention to the victim rather than the killer is done so tastefully - highly recommend

As a host Channell is more guide on the side than sage on the stage, giving voice to the voiceless and space to families, friends and others affected to share their perspectives.

An honest, compassionate, survivor-focused and trauma informed podcast. A refreshing take on the true crime genre.
