“Back on Regular Earth??” Episode 179

Happy New Year! And welcome to our new season! In our last episode, “If It Was Really a Wormhole, We’d Be Unalive: Adventures on Opposite Earth, Pt. 7,” we left Earth human Nicki Rodriguez, Perswayssick County canine-humanoids Diroctor Bizzig “Zig” Gneeecey, “Flea” Fleaglossitty Floppinsplodge, AKA “Sooperflea,” and Gneeecey’s evil lookalike from Planet HyenaZitania, Ebegneeezer Gesundheit Eeeceygnay, the missing rotten human Perswayssick County Nurse Maudlyn, and Gneeecey’s kidnapped pet Space Duck hopelessly stranded, zillions of miles away, on Opposite Earth.

The planet’s monstrous leader Urgl’s winged outhouse had come flying though the magenta skies again—headed for Nicki, Gneeecey, Sooperflea, and Ebegneeezer. Urgl, muttering his usual nonsense, had hurled Gneeecey’s kidnapped pet Space Duck out of his half-moon-doored shack. Silver necklace missing, the feathered mallard sprints into what appears to be a wormhole—chased by Gneeecey, Flea, Ebegneeezer, and Nicki. And where they end up is, well, shocking!

Encore Performance: “Grimace Holiday Ghost” – Episode 176

Hurt and furious, Gneeecey has thrown Nicki and Sooperflea and all their belongings out into the street—right before Perswayssick County’s major, most festive holiday, Grimace, the equivalent of Christmas here on Earth.

Gneeecey had just received a third secret recording containing highly embarrassing moments captured in his home and during his therapy sessions with Doctor Idnas and Grandma, plus a private conversation he and Nicki had while imprisoned on Planet HyenaZitania. The anonymous sender is threatening to air these recordings on Gneeecey’s GAS Broadcast Network.

All evidence points to Nicki, and Gneeecey’s best friend from childhood, Sooperflea, who have been living in Gneeecey’s mansion. Nicki’s been present at all of Gneeecey’s therapy sessions, plus she has access to his GAS Broadcast Network, as she works there. Well, make that “worked” there. When Gneeecey threw her out, he also fired her from her position there and her part-time gig at his Gneeezle’s Restaurant.

Although Gneeecey is often, well, difficult, the three had considered themselves to be family. Devastated, Nicki and Flea maintain that they could never ever hurt Gneeecey. And they’re astounded that Gneeecey could accuse them of betraying him…until a certain recollection suddenly surfaces via the superhero’s ESP powers.

Emotions already running high, Nicki and Flea, and separately, Gneeecey watch a rerun of a special holiday program simulcast on GAS-TV Channel 3½, and GAS-AM and FM radio. It’s their annual Grimace event, held before a live audience at the Perswayssick Civic Auditorium….

“If It Was Really a Wormhole, We’d Be Unalive: Adventures on Opposite Earth, Pt. 7” Episode 172

Still stranded on Opposite Earth, Nicki, Gneeecey, Sooperflea, and Ebegneeezer continue crunching through red, glass-like grass, in search of food, shelter, and anything that might make sense. Sooperflea starts talking about how the many problems back in Perswayssick County must be much worse without them. Gneeecey, already stressed out because his feathered pet Space Duck was abducted by Urgl the orange outhouse-dwelling monster, exhibits canine behaviors, biting up and down his arm. Flea scolds him, reminding him that although they descended from dogs back on Planet Eccchs, much like dogs descended from wolves, they are now proud, upright-walking canine-humanoids. Good, productive citizens.

Meanwhile, back in the dimension of Perswayssick County, Beagle-humanoid Detective Clover Arlo Cookie and sun conure parrot assistant Conrad pay therapist Ingabore Scriblig, AKA “Grandma,” and Doctor Alexandra C. Idnas as visit. Unfortunately, he has no news for them. It’s gotten out that Nicki and Gneeecey are missing, and temporary acting county leader, Bassett Hound-humanoid Jacob J. Qwertyuiop isn’t handling stress very well. The Surprise Party, comprised of Perswayssick County’s most notorious bad guys, is demanding a special election.

And Detective Clover still hasn’t found the strange silver triangular piece of metal he’d kept in his pocket for safekeeping.
