In this episode, you will know more about Neem Karoli Baba's life and times when he used to live in the Neeb Karori village. Baba led a simple and humble life. He probably had the most basic home in the entire village. We're talking about an Indian village in one of the most economically challenged and disregarded parts of British India in the 1900s. But despite not having any material possessions, Baba was a beaming lighthouse of contentment. He would spend hours doing intense sadhana or deep meditation. And when he was not meditating, he would spend his entire time with the villagers, listening to their problems, suggesting practical solutions, and carrying out numerous leelas or miracles of love to diminish their suffering Baba was one with his surroundings and the fabric of space and time, Nothing was hidden from him. He would know of people's intentions just by looking at them. It is written in ancient Indian texts that when you look into the eyes of a true mystic, then the real intentions of your mind, reflect in the mystic's own awareness, in exactly the same manner, like reflections of objects in water. Good luck to those who go with one-sided delusional stories emerging from their own belief system and think enlightened mystics and masters such as Neem Karoli Baba can be fooled. To the rich, Baba would simply remind that all the money is worthless if it not used to serve humanity. To the poor, Baba would say, your greatest wealth is your ability to work hard, be truthful to yourself, and the power to change your destiny. He would often say If you are sincere to yourself and your existence, the universe will reward your sincerity and truthfulness by opening up unbelievable doors for you. You would have then scripted miracle right from scratch. Baba biggest mantra was Love all, serve all and feed all. All of that with sincerity and purity of the mind.. If you would go to him and tell hiim, you know baba I was in love with my partner but now I have fallen out of it because he or she doesn't earn well enough, or is not serving my purpose and I think my partner will never change, then he would ask you, is that love or is that some sort of a business relation? Because he knew that conditional love was nothing but a disservice to one's own spiritual self in not letting love blossom in one's heart for it's highest purpose. Baba always said, Love dipped in compassion has the power to be the best cure for all maladies. Of course, we live in a highly calculative world. People around us will point out all logical reasons of the intellect to suppress our inner voice of love, giving much evidence and examples of failures in a relationship. She did this she did that. He did this, he did that. You deserve better, your mistakes are nothing as compared to his or hers.. You did the right thing in being harsh and unkind. So on and so forth. Basically, letting fear-inducing justifications to trump over our own true nature of love and forgiveness, which Baba constantly reminded us of. Baba said love is the biggest medicine in the entire universe and the worst punishment that you can give to someone and to your own self is to throw the person out of your heart. To block your ability to love and forgive. Thats why, to spurned and rejected lovers, inimical neighbors and people fighting with each other, Baba would say in Hindi, “Pyaar karo. Bas pyaar karo.” which means, just love, do nothing else. dont do business, Let love and compassion lead you to a better understanding of yourself, kindness, and acceptance.. His fame as a miracle worker and a saint with mystic perfections of mind over matter started spread like a wildfire. People from and around Neeb Karori village started flocking to him. But of what use is publicity or fame or money to a man who is contentented with sleeping on the floor and drinking water from a well. He was not into that zone of I, me, myself or look at how great I am, as we often see in many around us. . He was the king of loving acceptance. Thiefs, dacoits, robbers, criminals, charlatans, crooks, all rushed to him for guidance and a gentle tap of love and forgiveness,. Just as much as priests, sadhus, saints,householders and thousands of ordinary people did. Over a period of time, the dusty and rustic hamlet of Neeb Karori became a shrine of mercy and kindness, washed by the tears of the suffering and dried by the sunshine of Neem Karoli Baba's warmth and love.
