So, who am I and what are my qualifications? In this episode I’d like to tell you my story of how I came to love the caregiving industry and see the potential in it.

I began my corporate career in business law and litigation, which eventually led to finance, then working at a local credit union. My time as a traditional foster parent showed me the weaknesses in the system, so I became a professional (also called “treatment”) foster parent. I fell in love with providing care and making an impact on the families I worked with, and I began to see the potential in the industry.

In 2015, I wanted to start my own agency, but I wasn’t sure how to get there. After a year of cold calling agencies to try to get some advice, I was able to find my now mentors with the help of my home loan officer. Those women changed my life forever.
