The recruiting dead period has taken effect until July 31st but USC's 2026 is alive and cruising into the summer needing just five more recruits to close out the class. The new recruiting calendar has moved things up quicker, including with the recruits making their commitments. The Trojans are so far ahead of everyone else that there's not much left to do.

USC is a sleeping giant that is trying to wake up and win more games so they can improve the roster with better recruiting. It feels like USC is doing it backwards though. I explain in the show's second segment.
