On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in the two co-hosts of Locked On Avalanche, Kyle Sullivan (@ShaggyVonDoom) and Chris Micieli(@C__micieli) to break down the Avs' 3-1 win over the Panthers. The Cats were without Aaron Ekblad after leaving Friday's game in the middle of the third period. Florida was pinned in their own end, but did not allow the Avalanche to generate off the rush. Sergei Bobrovsky kept the Panthers in it until Colorado took the lead in the third period. Carter Verhaeghe ended his goal drought getting his first goal in eight games. The Panthers had a hard time getting past Mackienzie Blackwood as they were able to keep up with the stars of Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@JacobWinans8) for another edition of Winans Wednesday. The two provide a wellness check on the Panthers through 41 games in 2024-25. The Panther offensive numbers are just about the same, but the goals against at 5-on-5 have taken the biggest of dips. Although the Panthers scoring has struggled lately, there are signs from the last calendar month that the goaltending is trending in the right direction. Carter Verhaeghe has been the Panther that has regressed the most, but could him scoring while on a line with Anton Lundell continue into the second half of the season and break out of his first half funk?
