  • S1 Ep457: The TV listings guides of Christmas past
    Dec 24 2024
This week, to celebrate the arrival of The Big Man, James McLean and Christian Cawley cast their minds back to years passed. Once upon a time, a key element of Christmas was to circle shows in the TV listings guides, claiming a stake on the family television to watch key televisual experiences.

What has happened to this ritual? Who even cares about communal Christmas family viewing in 2024? And what might replace it?

We'd like to thank you for your support, and wish you a very happy Christmas, whatever your celebratory preferences.

  • 456: Adrian Salmon and Gareth Kavanagh chat The Time Team Unearthed Kickstarter
    Dec 18 2024
This week, James and Christian are joined by Gareth Kavanagh and Adrian Salmon to discuss a new Kickstarter, The Time Team Unearthed. Showcasing the Doctor Who Art of Adrian Salmon from the pages of Doctor Who Magazine's original monthly Time Team feature, the project breached its target within hours of going live.

Stretch goals are available, and Gareth and Adrian explain why you should support this campaign, what you can expect from the book and its various configurations. Adrian also recalls the evolution of the process of producing art for DWM from the late 1990s through to the late 2000s.
