By 33, he clawed his way to millionaire status in the furniture trade. But as his wealth grew, so did his addiction to cocaine and alcohol. Over the next 30 years, he lost everything. By 54, bloated and broken, he prayed for death, consumed by regret. A near-fatal overdose became his wake-up call.
