… He that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

There are still many in this world who don’t know who the Lord Jesus really is. To some, He’s a great religious leader. But the Lord Jesus isn’t a mere religious leader; He’s God. You have to study the Word of God to discover this. In John 5:39, Jesus said, “Search the Scriptures, for they testify of Me.” Let me show you a few verses that prove this as you spread the GoodNews message this Christmas.

In our opening verse, He said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” He’s one with the Father.

John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Verse 14 says, “And the Word was made (became) flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” This refers to Jesus. So in celebrating Christmas, you’re celebrating the living and incarnate Word.

The Bible declares that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him bodily (Colossians 1:19, 2:9). He’s the complete embodiment of God. He is the “Christ” in the Christ-mas we’re celebrating. God came to us in the body of Jesus. This is worth celebrating!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear. In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life

Some Christians are often confused by the term righteousness. Let me briefly enlighten you. Righteousness is a gift, and there is nothing you do to earn it because it’s freely given. You are righteous through Christ no matter what bad you’ve done. The moment you surrendered your life to Christ, you became righteous. Then there is working out your salvation with godly reverence; you have to live the life of a righteous person. It’s called right living.

Some Christians say they want to manifest the glory of God in their lives, yet they don’t live right. But Christianity is a call to righteousness. The Christ-life in you must be lived accordingly, and the Word of God is your light. The proof of your love for Him is to do His Word; it’s to manifest His love and His character. His life and nature in you – His righteousness in you makes right living possible and easy.

The Lord Jesus has given you the victory over sin; therefore, walk in righteousness.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am seated with Christ in power and dominion over Satan and the cohorts of darkness. I refuse to be under the influence or control of the darkness that rules this present world in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

If you’re still wondering why The Lord Jesus Christ came to this planet, the answer lies in our opening verse. God desires so much for you to have and enjoy life in abundance, meaning living life to the full, till it overflows!

It may be challenging for some to believe that He came for them to have life and enjoy it, especially if they’ve had a different experience for a long time. Life has beat them down to the point where they’ve settled for their pain and expect no less. That’s a sad life to live, especially if it’s the direct opposite of what God wants for them.

It’s your heavenly Father’s delight to see you healthy, vibrant, strong, joyful, and overflowing with life. Therefore, embrace His plan for you to have and enjoy life to the full. Be full of joy as you live a life of plenty, a life abounding in grace, peace and laughter in Jesus’ Name!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I decree and declare that from this moment, my life only knows overflows. I shall not have just enough; I will always have overflow of all things good in Jesus’ Name, it is so!

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Brothers and sisters, it is so important that you understand just how much capacity you possess to make your life extra special. Your spirit has the capacity for infinite possibilities. When your spirit takes a hold of God’s Word, there’s no telling what you can do; there’s no telling what you could be; there’s no telling what you could have – there’s no stopping you!

It doesn’t matter what limits have been placed on you; you might say you come from a bad family, you might say you have the wrong connections or that you grew up in a bad neighbourhood, or your education is not from a five-star establishment – it makes no difference – you’re open to infinite possibilities. The scripture above says ALL things are possible, not some. The only pre-requisite is to BELIEVE.

Do you believe your life could take a complete turn for the best today? The possibilities are there – just believe!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Today’s theme verse is one of the most beautiful in the book of Psalms. Think for a second. How could you become lost or directionless armed with scriptures like this? It’s impossible to be confused about where you should go when, by God’s Word, every step you take is well-lit.

The Lord Jesus said in John 8:12, “… I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” You see, God’s Word is your compass; it illuminates your path. It makes no difference what manner of thicket you find yourself lost in. Engage the Word – it’ll immediately offer a light that brings direction. If you follow His Word, you’ll never lose your way; you’ll prosper in all that you do.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am not a directionless Christian. The Word of God is so much in me that every step I take is completely lit up and clear. Thank You Lord for lighting up my world!

Let me tell you what God said next. He said, “You’re my son, And today is your birthday.What do you want? Name it: Nations as a present? continents as a prize? You can command them all to dance for you, Or throw them out with tomorrow’s trash.”

Now we all know that apart from the glorious celebration of the birth of our Dear Lord Jesus Christ, the main reason for Christmas, the festive season is also synonymous with Christmas gifts exchanged among loved ones. Now, think for a minute, what would you say if the richest man on earth were to ask you what you'd like for Christmas? I can imagine the answers!

But what makes the best present? Take a look again at today's scripture. God is asking you the question. This is the Creator of the universe, not the world's richest man. His riches and wealth are far beyond human comprehension and materialism. He says in verse 8, "What do you want?" He immediately answers with the best response and says, "Nations as a present or continents as a prize?"

Do you see the difference between how God thinks and how most people think? If given the chance, many would call out for material things that have very little benefit compared to nations turning their hearts to God. Desire to evangelise this festive season. Give someone the ultimate gift, the best present, that is, salvation in the Name of Jesus!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

The best present I desire this Christmas is the opening up of nations and continents for the spreading of the GoodNews. I speak a harvest of souls like never before in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

I always say that as long as the Word remains in the pages of your Bible, it won’t produce any results for you. The Word only leaps off the pages of the Bible and comes alive when you meditate on it and speak it forth. You're meant to DO the Word, not just read it and take notes when the preacher speaks.

God already did everything He needed to do for you to have and enjoy a milk and honey filled life. But you have the responsibility to put the Word to work in your life. You’re the one to ensure all the wonderful blessings of God manifest in your life. If you’re sick, broken or afflicted in your body and you desire to be well, put your faith to work. Don’t sit around feeling sorry for yourself. Get up and start declaring that situation is over! Work the Word in you – shout it out loud and share it out loud! The Word is alive; don’t stifle it a moment further!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I speak healing, prosperity, victory, and promotion as I work the Word today. Everything my mouth declares is so in Jesus’ Name! Amen.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

Remember that after His resurrection, the Lord Jesus Christ's disciples were gathered in a room, with the doors and windows shut. Still, Jesus came into their midst through a wall. They initially thought He was a ghost, but He invited them to touch Him, emphasising that He had flesh and bones, unlike a ghost.

The scripture above emphasises that as He is, so are we in THIS world. Whether you feel like it or not doesn't make this truth any lesser. Outwardly, our divine nature, may not be obvious to the people of the world, but still the truth stands. We’re who God says we are—sons of God in this world. His very nature is in you. You have the ability to walk through walls; you can literally tell mountains to be cast into the sea, and they have no choice but to obey. The scripture emphasises that you have this power right here, right now, in this world—not in the one to come, here!

Embrace His nature in you and utilise the power you’ve been given to use in this world!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

I am endowed with power from on high! I have already conquered this world through Christ. As I begin my day today, no challenge shall stand in my way in Jesus’ Name!
