“When you know who you are, you know what to do.”

Pastors Mike and Colleen Francisco explored the words of Paul in Romans as they discussed knowing who we are. Our identity informs our actions and what we believe about ourselves. The greatest change we can actually make this year is understanding who we really are.

On Christmas Eve Pastor Mike Francisco reminds us of that God hears our hearts cry and responds with greatest gift of love we could imagine. Mike traces the family tree from the time of King David to Jesus and helps us see that we are included in the promises for renewal, redemption, freedom and healing.

Pastor Mike Francisco offers up someone worth believing in in a world full of letdown. Unfortunately more often than not, people fail. In the Old Testament King David repeatedly failed and let down those who he was leading. He failed his family, his kingdom, his army, even the woman across the street. Letdowns leave us afraid to trust again, thankfully God gets us.

The woman who put everything she had in the collection bin gave her all. Jesus said she gave extravagantly what she couldn't afford while others gave what they'll never miss. King David gave his own personal savings to build the temple because of his devotion to God. Where is your generosity journey leading you?

Our 11|28 Teaching Team and Church Board member, Natalia Roman-Galarza, continued The Generous Life series on Sunday. Natalia does a deep dive into the generosity of the boy whose meal fed thousands. Leaving us to ask ourselves what systems need to be put in place for our giving to be a priority.

"Funding the work of God is worth putting on repeat."

Mike looks at the parable of the Good Samaritan as well as the reality of those who traveled with Jesus. In both instances they funded the mission, they gave generously towards the healing and hopeful work that was needed.
