The experiment we were referencing is called the Stanford Prison Experiment from the 70s. There is a recent 3-part docuseries about this on Hulu. However, what they were actually referencing in the show was what U.S. soldiers did at the Abu Ghraib prison during the Iraq War.

That's a wrap on Season 2, and there's a LOT to unpack still. Bryan is aware that one of the characters was a teen mom and not just an out-of-state mom posing as a teenager.
