Behind The Scenes. Organising Running Races - S02E05

  • Summary

  • I talk with Ellie Gosling.

Ellie, along with her husnband Ian, runs Barnes Fitness. They are the organisers of many of the races I have run over the years. We discuss what goes on behind the scenes to put on events like that, what support they receive from government and local authorities and touch on Ellie's own experience as a competitive athlete.

Behind the Starting Line, what goes into organising a running event.

A really great insight into what goes in to creating these events. Not just physically but emotionally. Some really great question presented by Mark in a compelling and entreating way.

It did help that I know the local area talked about but I don’t think that’s needed!

Some great personal anecdotes that help drive the discussion, nice to hear a bit kore about some of the vids I’ve seen in Mark’s You Tube.

Looking forward to binging the rest of the episodes now I know they’re on here!
