In their inaugural season finale the boys share their podcast origin story. While the audience grows, our three best friends take notice that their wives and most of their offspring(!) have yet to buy in!

They discuss some fears and trepidations going into this adventure, what surprised them and they pull back the curtain on the issues they overcame. Also, they share what they learned from season one and their hopes for season two (yes, we can all look forward to news about when they drop Season Two, Episode 1).

Closing the show they recognize several of their loyal listeners.

Our guys cover a lot of ground in this episode but after a rocky start in their opening, Jim's recent visit to Wrigley reminds him of an embarrassing moment from his past.

The boys tee up entertaining topics including how to avoid getting eating by a lion(?), supernatural experiences, and they reminisce about the various games they made up in their youth including, sock ball, stall ball and MCAA basketball. Eddie Haskell makes an appearance and they also introduce a new nickname for Dan, because we need more right?!

Our three best friends open the show by demonstrating their technological short comings, however, they do acknowledge that they are lucky, indeed.

Although not early adopters of reading (are we surprised?), for the joy of reading the boys share their early experiences reading and learning. The main part of the podcast they each share a brief overview of a recent book they have read. The book reports run the gamut from North American slave trade, Civil War history and an inside look into the Brooklyn Dodgers of the early 1950's.

Additional news and thoughts include Africa is splitting apart, they are not big Valentines Day celebrants and they do not believe in New Year resolutions.

Show Notes. The three books reviewed and their authors are:

Demons of Unrest by Erik Larson

In Slavery's Wake by The National Museum of African American History

The Boys of Summer by Roger Kahn
