I believe our contemporary understanding of love, even God’s love, has been allowed to be shaped by our contemporary culture’s concept of love described by words like tolerant, inclusive, accommodating, accepting, nice and agreeable as opposed to how God’s love is actually demonstrated in person of Christ.
