About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

In this masterful work, one of the most revered spiritual leaders in the world today shares his wisdom on how to be the change we want to see in the world.

In these troubling times, we all yearn for a better world. But many of us feel powerless and uncertain what we can do. Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) is blazingly clear: there's one thing that we have the power to change - and that can make all the difference: our mind. How we see and think about things determines all the choices we make, the everyday actions we take (or avoid), how we relate to those we love (or oppose) and how we react in a crisis or when things don't go our way.

Filled with powerful examples of engaged action he himself has undertaken, inspiring Buddhist parables and accessible daily meditations, this powerful spiritual guide offers us a path forward, opening us to the possibilities of change and how we can contribute to the collective awakening and environmental revolution our fractured world so desperately needs.

This is a beautiful introduction to a new type of awakening which covers Zen, Buddhism, and Mindfulness in a non-sectarian way. It’s also presented from a viewpoint that is both modern and ancient, a timeless work. The messages are very relevant to the global challenges we face today as a community of human beings seeking to create a better future and a more sustainable way of interacting with each-other and with our home planet.

Everyone on Earth could benefit from the wisdom in this book.

Another deeply insightful and brilliant book from the Plum village community. I've already read it twice, and will continue to refer back to it.

This is a great book and after hearing it on YouTube I decided to purchase here to support it. The narration on this version is dry in comparison. No gaps to absorb before it goes into the next section. Not convinced that the male narrator is spiritually connected to the work.

I'm quite new to Audible but I'm finding this confusing. I thought it was Thay's teachings but it seems more like his devotees telling their impressions of his teachings. I can't find anywhere to see an index or the struture of the book so that I can see who wrote what.
