About this listen

A gripping Clone Wars-era adventure featuring a showdown between Grand Master Yoda and his former apprentice, the sinister Count Dooku.

The savage Clone Wars have forced the Republic to the edge of collapse. During the height of the battle, one Jedi Knight escapes the carnage to deliver a message to Yoda on Coruscant. It appears that Dooku wants peace and demands a rendezvous. Chances are slim that the treacherous Count is sincere but, with a million lives at stake, Yoda has no choice.

The meeting will take place on Vjun, a planet steeped in evil. The challenge could not be more difficult. Can Yoda win back his once promising pupil from the dark side or will Count Dooku unleash his sinister forces against his former mentor? Either way, Yoda is sure of one thing: this battle will be one of the fiercest he’ll ever face.

a nice story about yoda and doku however, their personalities both seem very different to every other text.

the biggest issue is that the author overwrites every page, saying the same thing 3 times before moving on. with an editor this could be a good book

the standard use of star wars sound effects (such as the hum of engines) are immersive

a nice story, but needs an editor

By far, one of the best Star Wars stories I have ever listened to, and one of the best ever written.

At its core, Dark Rendezvous is a story about a parent trying to save their wayward child and bring them home, but with tragic result.

Set at the height of the Clone Wars, this story follows Yoda, who receives a message from his former apprentice, Count Dooku, wishing to meet with his old master, on a planet steeped in the Dark Side.

Accompanying Yoda on this mission are two Jedi masters and their own apprentices, among them is the young Jedi learner, Scout, a young girl who isn’t particularly strong in the force, but works harder than anyone else at the Jedi Temple.

Next to Yoda, Scout was one of the best written characters in this story, and that’s saying a lot, considering how well written every character is in this book.

Overall, this is a superb story and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in more exciting stories about everyone’s favourite little green friend.

Never has the Star Wars Universe felt more alive!

A good story about master Yoda going on one of his few journeys. I found this book a little long winded. Would have been better if it was not as long.

I’m really enjoying the legend titles. But every star was book I have listened to outside the legends series is really good. This audiobook gives you some more insight to yoda and the voice acting as usual is phenomenal. Won’t say much more as it’s all spoilers. But definitely worth the listen

....brought to life by a brilliant narrator performance, sound effects and music. Marked the story down one star as I would of liked a bit more Yoda and a little less time on the Padwans. But thats just the Yoda fanboy in me. All in a great story from the Legends Universe. Well worth a credit.

Another frantic legends novel....

Overall Dark Rendezous is a good book, great narration by Jonathan Davis as always. I was just disappointed in the way that Yoda is in the title, but he does not get much time and instead learn more about 2 Padawans. Still worth a listen and the story is good. Just slightly disappointed that I thought I was going to learn more about Yoda, his beliefs and mind set, but I feel I did not get that.

Disappointed

If you want a book where Yoda acts like his Empire self but during the clone wars then this is the book for you.

Great
