About this listen

When the world ended, former Army Ranger Connor “Tav” McTavish thought he’d prepped for everything. He was wrong.

When roving gangs destroy all semblance of law and order, and the strong take what they want from the weak, Connor will find himself as the sole protector of an all girls' college hidden away in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Now, his only chance at survival is to show group female liberal arts snowflakes what a real man can do and turn all four of them into survival and combat experts.

Disclaimer: This novel contains detailed sex scenes between the male protagonist and multiple women.

Love the narration on this book. Eric Vall has become one of top writers in his genre and this is another corker.

As something of an Erotic Novel enthusiast I was a little sceptical when I first picked up Without Law. The idea of a survival harem story just smacked of teenage boy fantasy fulfilment to me. How very proud am I to say I got that assumption 'completely' wrong. Tav, Anna, Paige, Bayley and Tera are all fantastically fleshed out and realistic character's. They play only lightly, if at all, on the tropes you expect from them, and make realistic decisions in a way that is consistent to a human being, not a stagnant stereotype. I will be honest here and this was the first Erotic Novel I have listened to in a while where I actually wanted to bypass the sex scenes and get back to the character's story, they are that well developed. Congratulations Eric Vale on constructing the foundation for an engaging and exciting series. If you could get your sex scenes on par with your storytelling you would be the ultimate Erotic author.

An Erotic Novel With a Good Story?

Not my usual read, near future sci-fi, rambo, sexy. Selected for "artwork" difficult to stop listening to, infact purchased book 2 & 3 within 7 days! Needed to hear the outcome! If you want a light break from current dystopian doon and gloom, I would highly recommend.

Scifi?

I think this is a decent story but it is actually ruined by the terrible narration. Christopher Boucher has a way of narrating which has an annoying rhythm in every sentence. It ends on a high after each sentence which is annoying as some sentences just don't sound right, he also tries to sound really macho but fails miserably IMHO. Jessica is a bit better but I cant tell the difference between the different female voices, they all sound the same to me.
I like the combination of survival mixed with the occasional vanilla sex scenes, but the writing is not as good as the story idea, which in itself is not unique.

Terrible Narration ruining a good story

A mixture of outdoor survival and schoolboy fantasies about sex. I stuck with it to see if any of the characters would develop but it just stopped. If you're after a sexy adventure story it's fine but there are better.

I hope the author goes on to give these characters more depth, I think there could be something good in here. But as it stands its four sex objects, a superman analog, and the stereotype janitor.

The voice acting was good, if a bit hamstrung by parts of the book being written like a script. Try not to notice how often sentences end with 'said' it really makes you feel like your having a script read to you with the stage directions included.

Sorry to the author, please keep writing. I want you to keep working at it.
