About this listen

Sir Jackie Stewart is a man of immense charisma and integrity and is one of the most highly regarded names in global sport: winner of three F1 World Championships, 27 Grands Prix, and ranked in the top five drivers of all time. On retiring from the circuit, he went on to build an equally impressive international business career. In the 1960s and into the 70s, with his black cap, sideburns, and aviator shades, Jackie Stewart was an unmistakable icon in a glorious era of style, glamour, and speed. On the track, his story is one of drama, excitement, tragedy, controversy, celebrity, danger, and massive success. Beyond the sport, his life is a compelling tale of battling against the odds and achieving world-wide recognition as an outstanding sportsman, role model, and highly accomplished and respected businessman.©2007 Jackie Stewart (P)2007 Headline Audiobooks Motor Sports Sports Funny Racing

Apart from racing, there is so much more in this fascinating book. Great that Sir Jacky also red the book. Brilliant.

Much to learn and enjoy

Sir Jackie covers his glory years in F1 in some detail including his struggle to get driver safety recognised by the sport, but the book is much more than that. Sir Jackie reads his story as one who has made a great success of his life despite some deficiencies in his earlier years. I would recommend the book to any person whether a fan of F1 or not, his anecdotal stories of meetings with the Queen and other celebs is well worth a listen.

Very Well Written

I could listen to Sir Jackie Stewart talk all they long! This guy lived such an incredible life, the book should have had much more in it!
It isn't just about racing, I found the parts of the book where the struggles and eventually finds a way to manage dyslexia to be extremely inspirational.
I would say, the book is more about Sir Stewart outside the race track. It does have details and stories about this racing career but I would not say that is the main theme of the story.
The fact that he narrates the book himself is a big plus.
Overall, I highly recommend this book.

This is way to short!
