I love the Dorothy L. Sayers series of books featuring Lord Peter Wimsey, but have been waiting patiently for the right narrator. Can't wait for the full series to come out, now on to book 2!

Robert Bathurst hits exactly the right note in the retelling of this story. I hope he continues to record more of Dorothy L Sayers classic detective stories

Great Golden Age plot and characters brought to life by the excellent reading of Robert Bathhurst. His range of voices is apparently infinite and his skills and talent serve the novel at every turn, never distracting from it. He has gone straight to the top of my list of favourite narrators. More please 🙏

I’ve been waiting for years to have the novels of Dorothy L Sayers read by a narrator with the talent and skill to do the books justice. I’ve just spent this evening listening to Whose Body?, and what a joy to find that we’ve finally hit the jackpot with the incredible Robert Bathurst giving it his all. He really plays a blinder here and had me hooked from the get go with his wonderful reading. I’ve already purchased the next two books in the series, and would love for the remaining Wimsey books to get the Bathurst treatment soon!

Audio proved a wonderful way to discover Dorothy L Sayers and Lord Peter Whimsy. Such rich characterisation, I was amazed to learn that this was his first appearance, it felt like he and the wider cast had a wide-ranging backstory that must had been explored over many previous books. I'm already looking forward to my next download with this excellent narrator. Overall, an amusing and intriguing murder mystery with a few discomforting moments of antisemitism.

Excellent book, very well narrated. It is such a relief to have Ms Sayer's finest works read by a decent reader, the previous reader (Jane McDowell) was absolutely dreadful, she read these books like they were P G Wodehouse, not some rather dark, socially aware tales of murder and deceit. I do love Wodehouse but Peter Wimsey is a million miles from Bertie Wooster, he's a damaged veteran of WW1, suffers from PTSD, and is not a social gad-fly in any way.

Hope you do the rest of the novels with the same narrator, Mr Bathurst is excellent.
