Great story

Love the mix of vampire and shifters in love and reincarnation of sorts, great concept,
Sorry I didn’t like the narrator because a gap after every sentence did my head in

darkness

loved the narration of Freya Victoria, who brings the trill, emotions and heat to your ears.

Bree is a mix of witch and vampire hunter. Her witch powers come from a long-lost bloodline. It
is on a hunt, she Finn. Finn is a thousand-year-old vampire. He is on a mission, and Bree finds herself a unwilling partner on his mission. Bree is finding she is starting to like and have feeling for Finn, she knows she should kill him. But this sexy vampire, his mission and the heat between them seems to get in the way.

This book is full of action, steam, betrayal, and emotions.

Interesting new characters, and plenty twists and turns, no to mention more spice than book 1!

This book was faster paced than the first book. A few twists and turns along the way. And some new characters to get to know.

At the minute, I’m on the fence about the relationship between Finn and Bree. I thought him and Olivia/Lily were soulmates. And now Finn has an undeniable pull towards Bree? The dynamic works, but this is only book 2, so I’m intrigued as to how this will develop. But as a result of their relationship, there was an additional level of spice, which was expertly added, ensuring it wasn’t tacky, and that it relevant to the storyline.

What the hell is Lewis up to? And surely he would have had more of a hold over Finn if he’d told him the truth about Olivia’s demise. Either way, I don’t like the guy!

My favourite new character is definitely Steele. With his wise cracks, and open disdain for Finn. But more because he was there for Bree when she called. I hope we see more of him going forward!

Louis also seems like he’s nice, despite being part of the weird triplet arrangement, but obviously has an agenda. So looking forward to how this will play out.

And oh wow, that cliffhanger…I’m so glad I don’t have to wait for the next book to be released…off to download it now!

Freya Victoria did a great job with the narration! She successfully differentiated each characters voice. And she portrayed the emotions well enough for me to feel the intensity of them.
