In this short story, a traveling businessman settles into yet another motel room. This one just like every other one. Same dull curtains. Same faded wallpaper. Same stale stink. As the world moves on in a rush outside the motel door, he assesses his career and his life, asking, "Where am I?"
Alfred C. Martino is the author of three highly-acclaimed novels, Pinned, Perfected by Girls, and Over the End Line, and 10 published short stories. Mr. Martino was born and raised in Short Hills, New Jersey, and graduated from Millburn High School. He is a graduate of Duke University and The Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He currently lives in Jersey City, NJ.
