From the opening sequence, I was hooked. This book reads (or listens) like an action film, and the pace never drops. Every chapter throws new challenges at Blaze, and you never quite know what’s coming next. What I appreciated was how well the character development was woven into the chaos. You get to know Blaze not just as a warrior, but as a man driven by purpose. Brilliantly done.

Runner’s crafted a blinder with Warpath. You’re dropped right into the action, and it doesn’t let up. It’s like SAS meets Jason Bourne with a pinch of Jack Reacher. James D Sasser really lifts it—proper job, that one.

If you want soft and safe, this isn’t your audiobook. Warpath is all sharp edges and high stakes. Blaze’s no-compromise approach makes this more than just a military operation—it’s war. Salazar is a menacing villain, and La Manada feels terrifyingly real. What really elevates the book is how personal the stakes become. By the final chapters, I was glued to my headphones. Easily one of the best entries in the series.

Bill Runner delivers another hard-hitting tale, and Axel Blaze remains a compelling lead. The story’s urgency and the villain’s cruelty make for a wild ride. However, I felt the pacing slowed slightly in the transition back to the States. Still, the action scenes more than made up for it, and the ending packed a punch. Definitely recommended for fans of the genre.
