About this listen

Night Lords Volume 3

Hunted by the aeldari, the Night Lords flee to the world where their Legion was broken. Stalked by an alien assassin, they are drawn into a battle they are destined to lose.

LISTEN TO IT BECAUSE:

Fan favourite characters - who also happen to be amongst the most monstrous killers in the galaxy - in a fight to the death against the aeldari, with the fate of the future on the line? Yes please.

The Story:

The hunters have become the hunted. The Night Lords flee to the dark fringes of the Imperium to escape their relentless pursuers - the aeldari of Craftworld Ulthwé. Their flight takes them to the carrion world of Tsagualsa, where their primarch died and their Legion was broken. There, history will repeat itself as a deadly assassin stalks the shadows, and the Night Lords are drawn into a battle they are destined to lose.

Written by Aaron Dembski-Bowden. Narrated by Andrew Wincott.

I'm a huge Night Lords fan, gotta say that first. But wow, Aaron Dembski-Bowden really catches the feel of the night lords. And even though they're pretty evil, he makes them very loveable.
After listening to all three books, I'm now left with an empty feeling in my body because it was so good!

ADB does it again

This one is a masterpiece. I've bought 15+ WH40K audiobooks, and this is without a doubt the best I've heard. The story is great, and the combat is described in an entertaining way. I have to say, it does a great job of making you root for the traitor legions, only to smack you in the face with their unimaginable brutality, described in horrific detail. I knew chaos marines were evil, but I didn't know they were THAT evil. Their unspeakable acts are....unspeakable.

Half way through the book, I was enjoying the story so much I believed it was the final act, only to see that there was still five hours remaining and that says a lot. Andrew Wincott does a fantastic job narrating this tory, and hes one of the absolute best when it comes to creating a believable world with believable characters. I envy anyone that have yet to hear this masterpiece.

What can I say, its a very well written book. The character arcs over the course of the series are great, there is a great mix of humour, darkness, introspection, action and buildup. It is well worth the listen. I just hope the series gets another installment

Another brilliant book in the series

honestly this trilogy of books was my introduction to audible and the night lords.

the book was an amazing finally with points of it having my jaw hit the floor with reveals and plot points I'd forgotten. ADB smashed it out of the park with this book. an amazing finally to an amazing trilogy bringing light to these otherwise forgotten souls, making me look at them in a hole new light.
My review is all over the place I know but if you're unsure if you either want to start this trilogy or finish it for whatever reason, I'm begging you on my hands and knees start it. The books a well written masterpiece.
