Det handler om, hvor vanskeligt det er, når et menneske, man elsker højt, også har nogle mørke sider; og hvor svært det kan være, når de voksne prøver at skåne én ved at lade som ingenting, og man derved kommer til at leve med et tab, som aldrig rigtigt formuleres som et tab.
