About this listen

My initial reason for writing this book and its thesis was in response to a growing movement in the world to remove freedom and personal responsibility from the ethos of our time. I’ve viewed the spreading of personal freedoms across the world as one of the most consequential developments in recorded history. As such, the removal of freedom seems to be a harbinger of death and decline in society. This realization, along with the births of my sons, has led me down a road of contemplation and discovery. It took me months of thought and personal deliberation to finalize my views on our society. In the end, I have this book. It was written to explain, to anyone who wishes to read, what I believe is a better way for society to be structured. This society can be structured so as to enhance the overall freedoms that we enjoy. In changing our society in these ways, I would hope to create what some would call a utopia of freedom. Due to my utter disdain for the governmental and societal structures laid out in the book “Utopia” by Thomas More, I have decided to take back the word utopia so as to return it to what it should have been: a place that can’t exist, because it is different for everyone.
