Jedná se o oblast, jejímž srdcem jsou Třinecké železárny, zvané werk. Tady pracuje značná část obyvatel silně religiózního kraje, dodnes poznamenaného rozdělením Těšínska po první světové válce. Žijí tu potomci mladých mužů, kteří kdysi museli narukovat do wehrmachtu. Zdejší lidé ctí a udržují staleté gorolské tradice. Vyšetřování vede major ostravské kriminálky Roman Saran, stejně svérázný jako kraj, kde žije. Nekorektně psaný text bez příkras vás vtáhne do děje a nepustí, dokud charismatický Saran nerozluští záhadnou vraždu. Tympanum vydalo také první díl Dwur.
