About this listen

This is the story of the most successful espionage coup of the twentieth century. Taut, political and utterly captivating, Triple is a spy thriller from master storyteller and author of The Pillars of the Earth, Ken Follett.

A Frightening Discovery

1968. The fledgling nation of Israel is threatened when the intelligence services find out that Egypt is only months away from developing nuclear weapons. An untimely end awaits the young nation unless a source of uranium for Israeli bombs can be obtained in complete secrecy. Impossible, of course, unless someone can be found to steal it.

A Daring Mission

Working alone, Israeli agent Nat Dickstein concocts an ingenious scenario for the biggest, and quietest, hijacking in history. A task made all the more difficult by the factions trying to stop him.

Time is Running Out

Dickstein plans to steal the uranium and fool the Russian KGB, Egyptian Intelligence and the Arab extremists, the Fedayeen. As the nuclear arms race in the Middle East escalates to frightening proportions, the fate of millions of lives hangs in the balance in this fictionalized account of one of the best-kept secrets of the twentieth century.

A very exciting portrayal of a confused period in world history.
The story is of a period of conflict which is often overlooked and which explains how things got to where they are now.

The narrator brought to life an amazing number of characters. Each one came to life as it spoke.

Ken Follett has a truly enormous latent. This book was certainly very difficult to put down.

Brilliant story

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.

It was, initially, a pretty complicated story with masses of different people with unpronounceable names!
An exciting story which I didn’t want to stop.
The finish surprised me but I loved it!

Israeli politics

Great to revisit a classis Cold War thriller. 40 + years later Israel is still there and so is Iran, although even the author couldn't foresee the 1979 revolution.
Good narration, although the pronunciation of Wiesbaden made me cringe.

Classic Airport Paperback

Probably the weakest of Follet's novels and unfortunately the narrator's husky voice does not lend itself to audio performance.

Not the best
