About this listen

Reunited after their harrowing time spent apart during World War II, Allison and Logan have successfully patched their marriage and discovered a new level of commitment to one another. But when Lady Joanna dies in 1971, changes begin to reshape the lives of the Stonewycke descendants.

In this dramatic sequel to Shadows over Stonewycke, authors Phillips and Pella continue the soaring saga of Allison and Logan Macintyre and the Stonewycke Estate in Scotland.

It's almost as though Diana Gabaldon read these series, and thought that the plots were good, but she could do better! The Stonewycke books do have interesting plots and characters, sprinkled with a bit too much God is love preaching for my liking. However, the Outlander series by Gabaldon are 100 times better, expanding on similar plots but richly enhancing the characters and their relationships. Do yourself a favour and save some time - drop the Stonewycke books and go for Diana Gabaldon's books instead.
