About this listen

Humanity survived....

Barely, and thanks to networks of gigantic tower systems created to surround small villages with a protective barrier of lethal energy. It kept everything out...and everyone in.

Sixteen years have passed, and a girl born the night the world fell apart learns that she has a strange talent. The towers can speak, and she is the only one who can hear them.

Luna comes of age and is able to choose her profession, or is she? There are snippets of what might be in her future based on the vivid dreams she experiences and the special powers she has yet to learn she has. Is she the chosen one?

I'm guessing this is set in the future based on the tech and the style of speech/words/phrases used and just how the world is portrayed (reference to old style telephone land lines). The characters are likeable and I was gutted when the book ended on a cliff hanger BUT was pleased to see that the second in the trilogy will be available on audible on 29th June. I have it in my wish list and the third book is available on Kindle. I may wait until the third is available on audible but it's a great story, one I couldn't put down so might not be able to. I love to listen and usually listen when I'm walking my dog but this book had me listening through an Echo Dot in my kitchen while I was cooking tea. I haven't done this before but I just couldn't wait for my evening walk every time :-)
