Wow, Colleen Helme you've done it again, what a brilliant book and wonderfully narrated by Wendy Tremont-King.
Shelby is working 2 cases, one for the police and one for a mob boss. Could her life be any more complicated.... You bet!
Shelby's mind reading gets her in so much trouble but with Ramos by her side they're one hell of a team. Another perfect story. Can't wait for the next one. 😍

Oh baby, oh baby! What a story, it certainly binded me to my seat until the very end, as I didn't want to miss anything that was going on. I loved the way the author packs so much into her story and had three situations or cases for Shelby to solve and one of them even involved the main characters from her Sand and Shadows series (which is well worth a read or listen as well). With three cases going on you would expect the story to be either clunky or confusing but this author is a master of her craft and not only did the three stories flow nicely but in a fun and entertaining way. Shelby with her special mind reading gift is such a great character that has really grown throughout the series. Joined by the hunky motorbike driving Ramos that would be at the top of every woman's fictional boy friend list (even if he is the heavy for a Mob boss), Uncle Joey the Mob boss with a big heart and Dimples the rookie detective that likes to do everything by the book, things are going to heat up in this explosive book. With all the action and mystery the author still managed to find time to add some humour. What more can I say? other than just sit back and enjoy the great ride in story telling.
Shelby finds her simple following a suspect literally blow up in her face, when he sets off a bomb to cover up a murder. Luckily for Shelby Uncle Joey had an interest in the man and sent Ramos with her. The man talked Uncle Joey into investing in cryptocurrency and now he has walked off with not only his money but also Joey's hard drive. Uncle Joey wasn't his only victim and Shelby's own brother has lost everything. Can Shelby and Ramos track the money and the missing man down before the police? At the same time Detective Dimples needs Shelby's help on solving a murder and Ella St James needs Shelby in Vegas to help her sister in law get out of trouble. Can Shelby find the time to help everybody and still find a way to get a motor bike ride?
I liked the narrator. She really helps to bring the story and characters to life and has a unique talent all on her own but add her with the author and like Shelby and Ramos you have a winning and unstoppable team. I can't wait for the next book.

Ties That’s Bind is filled with murder, mystery, mayhem, and intrigue! The fantastic storyline is as exciting as always, with Wendy Tremont King bringing it to life perfectly. I highly recommend it!
