A thoughtful and insightful take on sensitivity.
"Thrive as a Highly Sensitive Person" by Sara Martinez tries to frame sensitivity as a strength. It does so successfully. Martinez does an excellent job of explaining how highly sensitive people can lean into their temperament while still taking care of themselves and setting appropriate social boundaries. Her tips are quite practical, and they will surely help people build confidence and prevent themselves from being taken advantage of.
The narration is great, and Audrey Wolff's voice is calming and encouraging enough to help the listener confront themselves head-on. It's a great complement to Martinez's thoughtful content. The audiobook focuses on several important themes that highly sensitive people often need to work on, including living authentically, accepting themselves, and not apologizing for sensitivity. I think these topics are perfect for people who are just starting out trying to figure out how to leverage their natural gifts but have been having trouble, and Martinez's advice is practical enough that it shouldn't be too tough to follow in one's day-to-day.
I think this well-produced audiobook stands to benefit a lot of people who struggle with being "oversensitive," and it's great value for the time spent listening. It's well-done from top to bottom, and I highly recommend it!

Great content and well narrated!
Anyone who considers themselves to be a highly sensitive person (HSP) will find this audiobook extremely valuable. It takes a completely different approach and changes the story of sensitivity by portraying it as a quality rather than a flaw. It provides easy methods to improve your self-care routines, develop stronger intuition, and establish limits & boundaries. I found the advice to be especially motivating as an HSP when it came to using my emotions as stepping stones. You can live a genuine life and accept your sensitivity, finally seeing it as power, not a weakness. And the narration was fantastic - highly engaging!
