Could not stop listening to this. Having grown up watching Busy on different shows it was such an insight listening to how she got to each step of her life. I just want to go back and watch all of her shows again now!

If you follow Busy on Instagram, you know that she knows how to tell a good story and you will love her book. That's what she does here about her life. It was even better listening to her tell her story. She has dealt with alot in her life and I really do feel for her. I finished this book in two days, it was gripping. i would definately recommend it

Honest and gripping

Busy Phillips is one part anxiety ridden due to what other people think of her and one part doesn't give a whoa. You get to see both sides, vulnerability and the kind of confidence of a woman who's been through some shit (albeit some stuff us regular janes can't relate to i.e. hollywood turbulence).

Knowing the perspective it was written from, I had an open mind with 'This Will Only Hurt a Little', meaning I knew it was going to change my life. But I like Busy because she's herself in a world that tries to quiet emotions and the general sound of women's voices.

I imagine the audiobook was much like grabbing coffee with Busy Phillips, full of laughs, cringing and crying, and it didn't disappoint in that respect. For the record, I had a great time hanging out with Busy.

I rarely feel moved enough by a book to write a review but I want to strongly recommend this book to others. I actually look forward to my long commute - hearing Busy's story in her own words feels like the best chatdown with a really good friend. Her story is fascinating, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and hilarious - I find myself actually laughing out loud in parts, but also crying and gasping at other parts. I will listen to this one again and again. You don't have to be a fan to get a lot out of this book - I wasn't when I started listening (I heard Busy on Fearne Cotton's podcast Happy Place) - but I am a fan now! :D

Clearly a woman who has had to deal with a lot of, frankly, sh!t, I found this to be a testament to courage and perseverance in the face of adversity. Busy speaks so plainly and honestly, in a way that makes the story she tells really captivating and emotional. A great listen.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book by Busy Phillips. I am sorry it’s finished. Loved her frank, no bullshit way of telling her truth. She was vulnerable and so relatable but also brave and bold and confident and to be honest inspiring. I think all women and young girls should listen/read this book.
