About this listen

A Sunday Times Bestseller
Don't miss out on the bestselling phenomenon from literary sensation Jacqueline Wilson - a warm, uplifting, life-affirming story about friendship, family, and finding fulfilment in unexpected places.
Ellie Allard isn’t quite where she thought she'd be by her late thirties. Though she’s got her beautiful daughter, her beloved cat and the best friends anyone could wish for, her love life is non-existent and she feels like she’s been living on auto-pilot, just grateful to be able to afford the rent on her poky little flat.
But on her fortieth birthday, it seems it’s time for all that to change – whether Ellie wants it to or not. As she navigates new, exciting and often choppy waters, she’s about to discover that life will never stop surprising you – if only you let it.
'A read-in-a-day comfort book' - Independent
'Think Again is pure nostalgia in a bottle, and oh-so-relatable. Jacqueline Wilson taps into the joys and pains of women everywhere.' - Dawn O'Porter
'Think Again perfectly captures a woman at a turning point. I didn’t want it to end' - Katie Fforde

Everything & more that I hoped this book would be.
I never leave reviews but I loved this book so much I had to!
I loved the original series of these books when I was younger. I enjoyed this book so much I didn’t want it to end and really hope there may be a sequel! The story was believable, relatable & the narrator was very easy to listen to. 10/10 for me!

Nostalgic Listen
Loved it because of Jaqueline Wilson. Slightly posh sounding for a main character that live in a council late in London.

Nostalgia!!
Loved this book. I’d have liked it as a stand alone girly book but the nostalgia of the characters that I already knew and loved all grown up was magical. I would LOVE if this was a series. I need to know where the girls’ new lives take them!

Lovely to relive the world
So bizarre and beautiful to be back in the world but the narration is really difficult to listen to. It’s like she’s reading the book for kids. Really irritating.

Enjoyable
Loved it but I did find the regular use of the phrase ‘phoned for an Uber’ really annoying as nobody actually phones an Uber! 😂 Other than that it’s very enjoyable & easy listening

Didn’t want it to end!
Beautiful book, I was listening and so taken aback when it ended! But so happy and feeling satisfied and having enjoyed the ride after so many years. Brilliant character development that felt real and hit the nail on the head every time. Such a treasure - definitely recommending to anyone who read Jacqueline Wilson books as a child/tween.

YES! my favourite characters with mature themes
I was so worried this wouldn't live up to what I wanted but I'm so happy it has! Jacqueline, please continue! Yes the narrator isn't the best but if we rate it poorly there won't be any more.
We deserve more adult themed Jackie Wilson!

Living my childhood again as an adult
I loved seeing how Ellie madga and Nadine have turned out. It brought me back to being a young girl reading the books and watching the films/tv show. I loved the path they all took and want to hear more from them all

highly recommend
I have loved the previous stories and did worry what this might be like as it has been such a long time but I loved it. I especially like some little nods to other books that the author has written. the characters have kept their personally but you can see how they have grown up
great story and great narrator, again I am quite particularly about narrators but great job. easy to listen to.
Really enjoyed listening to this, highly recommend.

Nostalgic but doesn't translate
I loved Jacqueline Wilson as a kid but her distinctive writing style doesn't fit these adult themes. A predictable storyline and I found Ellie annoyingly immature at times. Great if you fancy a blast from the past but not a super strong adult novel.
