I loved this story! the first half is an interesting, engaging spy thriller. However, it undergoes a 'Dusk till Dawn's type change involving time travel, apocalypse and monsters. It was brilliantly written. The narration was slow so I listened at 1.5 speed but the expression was fantastic.

The book was fairly enjoyable but definitely not up to the standard of it’s predecessor, it is almost in a similar vein until about halfway through, where it goes off into a completely different, sci-fi, tangent. If I am honest, quite disappointed.

Just wasn't expecting this, but went along for the ride. certainly not your usual CIA storyline.
All I can say is I loved it!

I, like so many of you, waited a very long time for this book to finally get published. After reading I Am Pilgrim, which, I enjoyed so much, I was very keen to read anything else by the author. We waited as one proposed (or notional) publication date after another came and went. It had to be worth the wait, right?
Wrong! I’m sorry, I really wanted to love this book but, I was disappointed. It’s certainly not in the same league as “I am Pilgrim”

It’s my kind of book to be fair I like the concept, because the narrator reads for Jack reacher it threw me off a bit but I found it quite enjoyable

Overly long and the future sequence stretched credulity. A good yarn but not up to the standard of I am Pilgrim. Perhaps it took too long in the writing.
