An easy to listen to cosy mystery with a dash of supernatural. The characters were developed enough to enjoy the book though at times I had to think as to which character they were referring to especially with the similar name Poppy and Piper. This is not an issue with reading a book but can be when it is spoken word.
I did hope that Bailey would have found out more about her birth parents but perhaps that will come in future books.
Overall, the book is worth a listen to.

I love witchy mysteries mainly because I like listening about how the character grows and learns to control there powers and this book has the making of a good series. There is no real magic used in this book because it is just a shortish story and the main character only just discovers she has powers (maybe if it was longer we would have seen more use of them) but a good and interesting start. There is a murder but it only really gets solved by accident rather than any good investigation skills and there isn't really very many suspects. I liked the characters, especially the best friends who added to the story with there home life. Off to start book two.
Bailey has always known she was adopted and something draws her to the seven caves. That is why she acts as a tour guide and is the only one willing to put up with the bossy and grumpy owner. She isn't surprised when she gets lumbered with running around after a film crew who wants to do a shown on the caves and the surrounding village. But what does surprise her is stumbling over the body of the host of the show, the lady who was going to do a big reveal about the cave and its history. Bailey has been feeling weird for days now and with the police closing the only place she was able to find the peace she needed away from all the noise and the headaches, she and her friends get together to solve the murder and uncover a few secrets along the way. Maybe even the most important one, the real reason why her mother abandoned her all those years ago. Is she ready to handle the answers she gest or will it drive her away from the only home and town she knows.
I liked the narrator but did think the voice she used for the main character was to deep.
