About this listen

When Sarah Cole finds herself in Chicago with two months to kill before her New York promotion goes through, she decides it's time to take care of a few things - like the inconvenient issue of her virginity. Sarah knows the right guy for the job, too: Max, the notorious ladies' man she's been crushing on since college.

Max Brandt is all for a fling, just not with Sarah. She's way too good for him. He walked away from her once, but it wasn't easy.

Things are different now, and the plan is so simple. There's no way either of them would do something as silly as fall in love....

I really enjoyed the characters and their various interactions and although I felt frustrated by the misunderstandings, that was only because I was rooting for them. I think it's a good reminder of how things can be heard and understood so differently by different people, and this can be impacted by a number of things that others may not realise.
would recommend.
I enjoyed book 1 & 2 so will def be listening to book 3 too :)

Really enjoyed it and was also a good reminder...

I enjoyed this book. I hadn't realised it was book 2 of 3, but enjoyed it regardless.

Second in the series and just as great as the first. So good I’m using a credit to buy the third.

Loved it.

Love the story itself and the amount of spice that came with it. I really enjoyed the performances and the characters too ❤️

I found this book totally DISAPPOINTING

It is so far fetched and unrealistic- won’t look for more of this author

Why would any woman even a fictional characterisation of an inelegant woman, allow herself to be rejected and degraded by the same person repeatedly. I though I could dip in for light entertainment instead I’m scared. Please don’t put more of this out.

Disaster

How was the first one so good and this one so... blah? I'm halfway through and struggling to continue. The central idea is too thin to keep the story going and the whole thing just falls back on old tropes and gender stereotypes. If it improves by the end - if I can find the will to continue - I'll come back and edit this review.

Disappointed
