The mystery of bride-to-be Aoife's hen night murder kept me up late in to the early hours. Jess Ryder expertly explores the darkly-held secrets and simmering resentments of a group of friends on a fateful weekend in Marbella. I was there for all the twists and turns of this fast paced thriller, and it felt satisfyingly voyeuristic watching the characters unfurl in both the past and present. However, as much as you will love the ride – and you will – THE VILLA may just put you off hen nights for life (Ali Lowe)

The plot was fun, but what an unlikeable bunch of characters at this hen! A weekend with this group sounds like my idea of hell. Quite implausible but easy listening.

I’ve been in a book slump and this was the perfect cure. It’s an excellent beach/summer read. Full of suspense and intrigue with interesting characters. Well written and narrated.

My first title by this fantastic author. Won’t be my last. Listened in a few sessions. Just wanted to keep on listening. The story was so addictive and engaging and it was so so good. The narration was fab and suited the book by far. Glad I purchased this audiobook. Now deciding on my next listen by her. Cannot find fault with this title or author or narrator at all. Full 5 stars overall.

I nearly got the ending right but not totally , but I was completely absorbed by the storyline.

This was really slow and drawn out. None of the characters were nice! All selfish and back stabbing. And even though I guessed some of the twists, the end one was a surprise, but still didn’t make up for the weak storyline.
