Making sense of life
I found this book so enlightening. To get to the point when you know life is coming to an end, and know your regrets makes you start to evaluate your own choices. Be good to yourself, know and smile x

a must read
it's emotional, it's sad, but it's a book that can change your life if you are in the wrong place.

Very wishy washy
This book is more of a story, where the author is trying to make sense of her life as an end of life caretaker. Almost all the characters in the book are absurdly wealthy and I don’t think their experience is broadly applicable. I was expecting a more analytical approach to the subject.

Remarkable Self-discovery journey
I almost didn’t get this book because of some odd chap giving it a 1 star review. What an awesome book with loads to learn from people’s decades of mistakes.
As a bible-believing Christian, I had always wondered how non-Christians dealt with the difficulties & extreme pressures of life. Through this book I was able to observe parallels between Christian beliefs & some Eastern ideas expressed. The major difference was her giving thanks or expecting ‘blessings’ from the ‘Universe or Nature’ while Christians do same but to God the creator. Other similarities are, meditation, yoga class (church 😀), journaling, fasting, praying (which is also part of the Christian faith). I like that she wasn’t pushing any of the self-discovery practice in this book, but simply talking about her own personal experience.
All in all, a great read with notes taken. Worth re-listening at least once a year.

Moving
I really enjoyed this audiobook and have just ordered the paperback as I kept wanting to pause the book and make notes! There is nothing especially surprising but a very well written reminder to take time to think about what is important and ensure that you are living a life true to yourself.

A must.
Beautifully written. Not morbid with so much to help yourself.
Reminded me of the dear patients and my own loved ones I have been fortunate enough to be beside when they’ve died. Thanks Brone

A lot of life splashed on the paper.
As my life discovers new ways of living, the one true meaning of learning to live life is giving, but it comes with conditions.
The condition to give, to be kind, to understand you always have a choice and to forgive yourself.
This is such a beautifully written book, that upon reading, you would think the author is cleansing her life before her imminent mortal light stops glowing, but it isn’t. It’s a book written by a lady who has had insights in foresights.
My take? Be the gift that keeps on giving, but allow the universe to give back the goodness you’re putting in.

Thought provoking
The book wasn’t written how I expected, but that was actually much better as the story format was a lot easier to follow than the potential preaching the book could have been.
I didn’t connect with every story, but you realise towards the end, that’s the whole point. Everyone has their own journey and even if some themes don’t resonate right now, they may do in future. Would definitely recommend.
