Boston girl Molly Sutton moves to a small village in France to lick her wounds after a divorce. Castillac is charming, the croissants amazing, the wine delectable. Molly's new life is full of contentment, if a bit short on excitement.

A reasonably entertaining listen. The denouement was a bit of a head scratcher but generally a well written story and an easy listen while doing the housework. Not the best narration maybe but not the worst either. Anyway I’ve bought the second book as I feel sufficiently invested in the characters.

I enjoyed the book overall. I know the main character is American but perhaps a voice actor with a talent for French accents would have been a little more absorbing. It stopped me ever feeling like I was in a French village and left me feeling like it could have been set in America. There wasn’t a lot of variety in the characters voices either.
I have a perchant, currently, for stories set in France and I did enjoy the book. I will try the next one and see how it progresses.
