About this listen

I swear I’m a good girl.

I didn’t go to the exclusive, after-hours masquerade to kiss my dad’s best friend. I didn’t even know who the masked man was when he touched me like I was his every fantasy.

But when I learn exactly how off-limits my new lover is, I do my best to avoid him the next time. Except, he has his sinful sights set on me, even when he discovers who I am. Just one time, he whispers. Then we’ll pretend this never happened.

Seems the enigmatic, gorgeous single dad I’ve known by day is a very dirty man after dark.

But one night turns into a stolen weekend, giving me a taste of so much more. When it's over, we vow to stay apart.

We could never work.

He’s focused on raising his young son, and I can’t let my already damaged family break more. But the caring, possessive man keeps coming back to me, and these secret nights tangled up together are turning into tender moments that make my heart thunder.

And soon, this tease of a forbidden romance is making me want so much more than I can ever have….

Absolutely brilliant!

What a beautiful story! There are so many things I love about this story and the collection, but above all else, I love the heroines. These are not inexperienced, sheltered little girls, but strong, active and decisive young women who know exactly what they want (and don't want) and why. A perfect mix of flirty banter, steamy encounters, serious situations, and super loving, supportive, emotionally mature men. Le sigh... Bring on the era of the pleasure dom! Perfectly portrayed by Jason Clarke and Vanessa Edwin, who is simply phenomenal!

Addictive and intense - all hail Queen Vanessa

This is the final book in the Virgin Society series and WOW does Lauren Blakely end on a high!!! She has consistently one upped herself with this series and The Tease is my runaway favourite.

How can you resist when the smart, beautiful enigma that is Jules finally meets her match in the ruggedly decadent older man, Finn at an exclusive masquerade party. Only......it turns out Finn is actually her father's best friend! Cue intense longing and a passionate tryst and secret affair. It is just delicious.

But alongside this developing forbidden romance between two kindred spirits, there is a lot of heart and emotion which elevates this story above the rest that came before. Lauren Blakely delicately tackles themes of mental health, grief and the trauma left in the wake of family tragedies in this one and a lot of this is carried in Vanessa Edwin's outstanding performance. She is unparalleled in this and managed to bring me to tears in several parts of this book. She beautiful captures the multi-faceted Jules and brings to live a vibrant special woman who has confined her true self for far too long due to fear and guilt. Only Finn knocks down her walls and makes her realise she needs to be herself - all of herself. I LOVE this story so much and bravo to Lauren for bringing this all together.

However, don't think this doesn't have the necessary heat factor for a romance novel. Jules and Finn have electric chemistry and I cannot resist a forbidden age-gap romance and this one does not disappoint. Let's just say Finn's "kink" is one that you will enjoy a lot and twinned with the signature Jason Clarke deep growly voice and this is DEFINITELY one to enjoy alone or with headphones ;)

The story is incredible and absorbing, Jason Clarke is perfect as Finn but the star of the show is Vanessa Edwin with her powerhouse performance.

Love Jules & Finn's Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved this story so much. All the feels, lots of humour, lots of spice & lots of love. Definitely one I will listen to again & again.

Lauren Blakely has worked her magic again! ❤ I loved the first two books in this series, so I'm delighted that this is just as excellent as the others.

I also love that there is no 3rd act break up!

Vanessa Edwin & Jason Clarke were fantastic narrators for this story. They are both amazing at what they do, and this is another stellar performance !

Age-gap single dad unexpected gem!

This was a unexpected gem of a book I really fell in love it.
It has single-dad (from a bad marriage), age gap and father's best friend (which I thought will bother me but their love was too beautiful), role playing, forbidden romance.

The spicy scene were so freaking good, he likes to give her pleasure and edging 🌶️ and lives for it!
I was constantly emotional for their raw love and hot&bothered for their steamy and passionate sex scenes.

I'm not usually a age gap reader, but here I didn't mind it because their connection overruled everything.

Narration was crazy good, the male narrator just melted me🫠🫠 and female one was great to listen too.

Quotes:
"We kept falling into each other."
"It's a kiss that makes me feel a little lost and a little found."

Overall: it was such a good find and I loved it so much by the end of it.. The narrators made it a tad bit difficult to listen to this in public with the 🔥 scenes xD

Super sexy and highly entertaining

If I want to get lost in a fun audiobook, be entertained and forget about my worries, all while doing my housework, walking my dog, or driving in my car, I know I can count on Lauren Blakely. She is the Queen of sexy writing, she always has my favourite narrators, and I know without a doubt I’ll be blushing whilst listening in public. The Tease was exactly that along with some added emotional drama, both familial and personal. When Jules and Finn have a moment at a masquerade evening they both go their separate ways with the understanding that they’ll meet again a couple of weeks later at the next masquerade event. However things take an unexpected turn when their paths cross in the most unexpected of situations, and they both quickly realise that they can never have a repeat of that sexy night. A super sexy, forbidden age gap romance with wonderful characters (including the adorable Zach), some highly emotional moments throughout, they both have their demons, Jules especially has hurdles to cross. All narrated by Jason Clark (perfect as always) alongside Vanessa Edwin, my perfect duo. I received a complementary copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review.

Finn & Jules

Finn and Jules’ book starts with a very schteamy encounter. All their encounters were but the first one was anonymous making it that much hotter.
Finn is older but is recovering from a broken marriage; Jules is young and inexperienced. Both have a lot in common, including Finn being Jules’ dad good friend. The way their relationship evolves from casual to friendly and ultimately to romantic was written in a great way that it did not feel rushed.
I loved the cameos from previous couples.

Vanessa Edwin and Jason Clarke brought their absolute A game to this audiobook. They were perfection

Wow, this book. You will need all the tissues

This amazing story follows Finn and Jules as they fall in love. It follows their romance through masquerade parties, impromptu meetings after lunch dates, to a spell in Paris.

This book covers a very difficult topic delicately and coherently. If you didn’t understand or have never experienced OCD or intrusive thoughts before then this book gives you a good glimpse into the life of someone who deals with these things. It is really well done.

It has some seriously swoony moments and some moments that will have your heart breaking.

In the audio Vanessa Edwin does and amazing job of portraying all of Jules quirks and issues whilst keeping the tone light. Jason Clarke is as swoony as he always is and does a fabulous job of portraying the supportive partner and amazing father.

I have connected with this book on a level that I haven’t with many others and Lauren has an amazing way of dealing with these difficult issues whilst still holding onto that romantic/spicy/comedic tone that she is well know for.
