Jodi Picoult's poignant number one New York Times best-selling novels about family and love tackle hot-button issues head on. In The Storyteller, Sage Singer befriends Josef Weber, a beloved Little League coach and retired teacher. But then Josef asks Sage for a favor she never could have imagined - to kill him. From the beginning it hooks you. The characters are fascinating and I honestly felt I was missing them when I had to stop listening to the book inbetween opportunities to listen. I don't want it to end. Harrowing at times, addictive yes, beautiful throughout. Thank you JP!

Simply The Best Book I have read!

The story behind this book is really quite good. I felt bits were very drawn out just to make the book have more pages and some things I found unnecessary - but the basis of the story and the twist at the end is good.

Good story but drawn out

Fantastic story with a sometimes difficult to hear subject matter.

The narrators were Fantastic, especially the man who I'm about to Google to find out what else he's read. The all really made the characters come to life.

Can't recommend this book enough.

Great narration

really enjoyed this story. At first it was a bit difficult to gain an understanding of the characters as there were many themes being told together to establish the story and I had to listen to again, but once I got the characters establish I really enjoyed the twist and turns of the plot and liked the ending.

Good plot

having been too Auschwitz-Birkenau
CONCENTRATION AND EXTERMINATION CAMP. I already was worrying that it wouldn't capture the truth of what really took place. (It changed me) This story captured it all, it made it feel horrifically correct, let's face it you couldn't make it worse. Jodie Picolt, put so much into the other threads that it gave it the human touch, those stories were needed to bring it home, keep the reader gripped. She nailed it. The narrators are super 👌 they kept it moving on, slowed the pace down in the correct places. You really should listen it is one of her best.

It is so authentically portrayed

Several stories all intertwined, connected. Keep listening. The book answers How do you survive when you have nothing? Can the unforgivable be forgiven? What must be broken to keep a family together?
Having just finished this excellent book, I am baking bread and cinnamon rolls. To remember.
May the atrocities of nazism never happen again.

Intense and excellent story, makes you want to keep listening

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was gripping and you really felt like it was a true story obviously based on truth of a horrific time in history incredibly educational as well something I will save and listen to again although not a cheery book it is uplifting and brave.
