A very different and interesting crime story, the plot is very complicated and full of surprises, it is a very different nordic noir, and no Harry Hole. There is no clear cut on what is good or bad, right or wrong, justice or injustice, the lines keep crossing one another in a complicated twist. This story would make a great movie too. Definitely recommend to all crime readers.

Everything the vulnerability of sonny who turns out to be the avenging angel .......reminds me of the crow

What about Sean Barrett’s performance did you like?

I just love everything Sean Barretts narrates his voice is so easy to listen too.

I chose this based on other reviews as I was absolutely hooked on the Harry Hole series which was excellent but this was... Well fab!

Some great twists and turns keeping you hooked until the twist at the end - a well recommended listen. I'm a big Sean Barrett fan as he really does read the books well and you feel like he's the character. An excellent Jo Nesbo book.

Will there be another.... Hope so!

I love the way Jo Nesbo plots his books, and how there are multiple plot twists to keep you guessing throughout the book.

Have you listened to any of Sean Barrett’s other performances? How does this one compare?

Yes, I think this is my favourite Sean Barrett narration so far.
