Why are there songs?
When I see "X and other stories" as a title I don't expect every other chapter to be a song about the story before it. Bewarned!

Brilliant stories in the excellent collection
This is something I’d love to see more of. Children’s books work well as audiobooks and can be a lifesaver on car journeys. It’s a shame to often see books that I already physically own as audiobooks for a price that’s just unrealistic. At least with a collection short stories it makes it more worthwhile.

Good, but small tweaks could improve it
My kids love listening to these when they go to bed. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the naming of the chapters so you know what you’re picking. Even better would be being able to ask Alexa to select that particular chapter.

Excellent
This is a great purchase and on repeat in our house.
It is true: there are no chapter descriptions, and there is accompanying music w the stories. But it all fits in great and there’s no need to deduct stars for that. We have the sample button for this exact reason: sample it and if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
My 3yr old loves this compilation as much as he likes the actual books. And the best of all, he keeps himself entertained w it.
And to the point of the accompanying music: it is not your CocoMelon or your Peppa Pig music. It is way better and cannot be compared.
A def recommendation from us for any parent that encourages the creative side in their kids.

A lot of filler
The stories are great but they have padded it out a lot with music which just feels like its there to make the book seem longer... quite repetative!

Chapters need titles, not numbers
Title says it all. Other children's anthologies name the chapters for easy navigation. Stories are good, songs have grown on me, searching for the story we want is a pain!

Songs are irritating
Stories are as predicted fantastic and well read.. Songs are particularly irritating and disrupts what was a lovely calm listening experience
