Tea-Bag, a young African girl, has fled a refugee camp in Spain for the promise of a new life in Sweden. Tania has made a long and dangerous journey to escape the horrors of human trafficking. Leyla has come with her family from Iran. All of them are facing different challenges in their new home.

the more of Henning Mankell's books I listen to, outside of the Wallander series, the more frustrated I become. They are unfinished.

This book is so well written and fantastically read by the narrator, you just can't stop the book from playing, The description of the situation of today's immigrants in Sweden is very cruel, but very realistic. As many of Mankell's novels, the end leaves you with a question mark...

Henning Mankell is one of my favourite authors and this book does not disappoint. It was well read and the characters had depth and were interesting

At first I found this book very difficult to listen to. It was a very strange voice that was, I think intended to create a kind of Swedish feel which was good but did take some getting used to.

I think I would have found it easier to listen to if there had been 2 readers with contrasting voices.

It was a good story though and I was glad I stayed with it.
