Wendi Wilson continues to wow me with her second “Rogues of Everly Prep” book and after the way the first book ended I knew this book was going to be another wild ride. The Rogues and the Rogettes were relentless to Chaz in the first book and it is her time now, she is out for revenge and she plans on making it sweet. She is going to bring each one of them down a peg or two. Her bestie Josh helps and Simone who has her own reasons, joins in too. Everything easily falls in place, maybe too easy, she second guesses her actions but then remembers what they did to her and all the hurt, especially Mason. But is revenge as sweet as she thinks, what does it cost her or cost the others. There is never a dull moment in this book, once I started it I could not put it down because I needed to know what happened next. It is a well-written and cleverly plotted story that contains plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a slow burn romance. Wendi Wilson, thank you for another fantastic story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I am looking forward to the next book in the series, “The Third Strike”. I loved the visit to Cypress Point and the cameo appearance by West Golden and Blue Riley from Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne’s “The Golden Boys”.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Kasi Hollowell continues to do an amazing job bringing these characters and their story to life. She is great covering the voices for both the male and female roles, giving each their own distinct sound making it easy to follow along and tell who is who. She has a complete understanding of the characters she portrays, sounds believable in every role she plays and just as I picture the character to sound. Her take on Chaz is spot on, grasps her determination and strength as well as her vulnerabilities. She sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and projects them into her performance. Kai Hollowell is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen.

Sometimes getting revenge does not give you the satisfaction you need and that is what happens when Chaz enacts hers. The revenge comes at a cost losing friends and potential loves. Now the truth is out everyone knows the secret it’s time for them to come up with a plan to in essence alone them to live the lives they want to. Loved the cameo by my favorite character’s from another trilogy was not expecting that. I can not wait to see what the Rogues have in store for book three.

The Second Move is book two in the Rogues of Everly Prep series and should definitely be read after the first book. I enjoyed book one and really enjoyed Chaz's character. Book two is chock full of drama and manipulation and in terms of revenge plots it is on point. I did struggle with this book if I am being honest because I found it really difficult to connect with Chaz's character as she sought revenge and was fairly hardcore about it, but this could just be a me thing. I definitely get standing up for yourself, but I wasn't a fan of who she was in this book unfortunately, but I am hoping the next book takes maybe a different turn given the information that came to light at the end of this book. I do think the book was well written and the narration was truly fantastic. Kasi Hollowell is pleasant to listen to and did a great job with the narration of this story, and I would definitely recommend her. #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock

The Second Move by Wendi L. Wilson is a dark high school bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kasi Hollowell. This is the second book in the Rogues of Everly Prep series.

Continuing from where The First Time left off. Chaz is seeking retribution from those she believes are to blame for the events that occurred in the first book of the series, despite the fact that someone she believes she can trust warns her that not everything is as it seems. Chaz is hurt and betrayed as a result of what happened, and she feels betrayed and betrayed.

With the aid of her best friend Josh and her new friend Simone, Chaz devises the ideal strategy against each of the Rogues and the Roguettes, but others will also suffer as a result of her actions, and she will have to take responsibility for them.

As secrets are uncovered and the shocks keep coming, it was fun to watch the camaraderie between Mason, Seth, Theo, and Cooper as well as the friendship between Chaz and Josh and Simone. It was a good performance I honestly have no idea how I am going to wait for book 3!

This book starts at start of the next school semester and Chaz is ready for getting her revenge this year. Joshua is there to help her with her actions in taking down all who knocked her down previously.

Especially Mason who really put her through the most lying to her and taking advantage of her last semester. Or is there more happening here? It’s a continuation from book 1 with more questions but some answers too. Excited for the next instalment of the series.

Kasi really pulls out all of the emotions especially with Chaz, does she get her revenge or does this change with finding out more about what is really happening.

Excited for more un this series. Kasi is brilliant with all of the young, emotionally charged characters from this series and I can’t wait for the finale. There is some seriously messed up things happening in this small, affluent town and I can’t wait to see where Wendi takes us next!

Wendi always leaves me yelling at her books!!! Chaz was done so so wrong in book 1, and this was her chance to settle the score!! There is so much to revenge and the price you will pay for it! I loved how characters and relationships grew! All of the twits kept me on my toes and wanting more! I am so excited for book three to release on audio!
Kasi did an excellent job narrating, as always! She captured both the male and female characters so well and kept me entertained!

Ok Im mad at this book, I love so very much cleaning and gardening while listening to audiobooks but this was so good that I couldn’t even concentrate on cleaning. I spent most of the time listening to it on the couch with my crochet loving every second. The storyline is strong and the characters are well created and thought out. There is plenty of suspense and intrigue but best of all there are intense emotions that run through this book.

I am so very excited at the thought of the next book as this is one of my top 10 so far of 2022

Revenge is the next step here, Chaz is planning everything against the Rogues. I enjoyed this one way more than the first one, it has very interesting rollercoasters, the story kept getting better and better. I am loving Chaz and her way of thinking. Things are finally to get together in a good way. The narration by Kasi Hollowell was good, I think you will enjoy this story more on audio. Can't wait for the next one.
