On a continent divided by faith, race and blood a human infant is born and abandoned by his mother, left to die. He takes the human child to be trained in the ways of his guild, the first human to be inducted in millennia. As a human, the child faces nothing but difficulties and disadvantages but he is determined to prove that he is worthy to be a Cat of the Pride. With his master in tow, he travels to the courts of kings, the centre of a violent revolution and the wilds of a forest home to mysterious mutants on the brink of destruction to earn his title.
