About this listen

Dan 'Spider' Shepherd was sipping his first coffee of the day as the sweat from his morning run slowly dried on his skin. Kept on standby in Cyprus, Shepherd and his patrol mates are getting fed up with the lack of action.

When they're offered the opportunity to spend some time in Nepal, they jump at the chance. Whilst there, they meet an SAS living legend, and are roped into a mission.

Loved the story which, somehow, I seem to have missed whilst following our hero's career ! Early Spider story with plenty of action. I listened in one go and will continue to try to find more stories like this.

Short and Sweet

I’ve read all of Stephen Leather’s “Spider” books and thoroughly enjoyed them. This was a super addendum. My only problem - sorry! - was Paul Thornley’s clipped articulation. His accents are generally good, making differing character clear. However, his apparent need to compensate for his natural Estuary English did distract my focus. That said, Spider Shepherd fans will like this.

Great short story

I didn't realise when I used one of my credits that this was only just over a hour long. I so enjoy these Spider stories and read by Paul Thornly I just pressed I wanted it. My disappointment was unprintable. There was no conclusion to it, I felt it had only just stared. I would like to know why it was so short. It was a typical Steven Leather read and I was just getting into the next Spider adventure and bang the end. I feel robbed ☹️
